ABOUT
JANTINE

Dutch native speaker, fluent in English and Spanish. I started offering language services in 2009, when I moved to Buenos Aires, Argentina to study Veterinary Medicine. Thanks to my solid academic base in both Veterinary Medicine (Public Health/One Health orientation) and Animal Nutrition, linked to my experience in Life Sciences research, I can master an extensive collection of subjects. I translate, edit, review and localize scientific, medical, pharmaceutical, veterinary medicine and healthcare texts in/to Dutch and work as a consultant for scientific writing in English. After graduating at the Veterinary faculty of the University of Buenos Aires, I combined my linguistic carreer with a part time job as a concurrent Investigator at the at the venoms/antivenoms R&D lab of the Argentinian National Institute for Production of Biologicals, INPB-ANLIS “Dr. Carlos G. Malbrán”. The lab is dedicated to antivenom development for accidents with snakes, scorpions and spiders, and research into other venomous animals, including bees. Since march 2020 however, I am a full time translator.
OTHER WORK EXPERIENCE
Before moving to Argentina, I worked as an IT Technical Consultant, Infrastructure Specialist and Project Leader for Getronics Consulting (a KPN company), IT Consultancy Office Manager for Smart IT-Professionals and Junior Consultant for N&S Quality Consultants.
